To set up the connection:
- Navigate to Aura Gallery > Authentication.
- Google Photos: Enter your Google OAuth Client ID and Secret, then click Connect to Google Photos.
- Adobe Lightroom CC: Enter your Adobe Client ID and Secret, then click Connect to Lightroom CC.
- Google Vision API: Optionally enter an API key for experimental auto-tagging features.
Key Concepts to Remember
- Redirect URI: Both Google and Adobe consoles will ask for a “Redirect URI.” You must copy this exact URL from your WordPress Aura Gallery > Authentication tab and paste it into the developer console. This tells the services where to send the “key” after you successfully log in.
- Security: Never share your Client Secret or API Key with anyone. These are the “keys to the castle” for your cloud data.
- Billing: Some cloud services are free up to a certain usage limit, but they may ask for billing information to prevent abuse. You can often start with free credits, but ensure you understand the terms before enabling billing.
Once these accounts are set up and your keys are entered into the Aura Gallery plugin, you can complete the “handshake” process on your WordPress dashboard to finalize the connection.
